This Technology Privacy Notice (“Technology Privacy Notice”) forms the applicable product data protection guideline for Buitenrustpad 11H, 1097 MX Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce registration number 69548374 (“Company”, “We”), and is intended to inform you about the functioning and processing of personal data when using our online advertising technology.

We ensure the targeted deployment of advertising in apps to draw users’ attention to new apps. To this end, we use platforms to connect app providers with ad space and advertisers who wish to promote their own apps.

Using pseudonymous data, we deploy technologies integrated into apps to display advertising to users who may be interested in the advertised apps and fit the target audience criteria of each campaign.

The technologies integrated into the apps and the associated data processing are monitored by the app providers, who are responsible for them. Please also review their individual privacy policies.

1. Provider of the Services

The services are provided by the Company with which you conclude an Insertion Order (IO).

2. Data Processing in Connection with Our Services

We only use pseudonyms.
Personal data refers to any information that can identify a person, such as name, age, email address, telephone number, or app usage data.

Our services do not record any user information in clear text.
We do not know the names, addresses, or email addresses of app users where advertising is displayed.

All information processed by us is recorded, stored, and evaluated using temporary identifiers (pseudonyms) that cannot be deciphered or re-identified by us.
These may include unique device identifiers or advertising IDs (e.g., IDFA on iOS or the Google Advertising ID on Android).

3. Purposes of Data Processing

In principle, the app providers who work with us to display advertising to their users are responsible for the related data processing.
We only process data on behalf of app providers to help them market ad space for targeted in-app advertising campaigns.

  • Enables app providers to monetize their apps through targeted ads.
  • Allows advertisers to reach users genuinely interested in their apps.
  • Reduces irrelevant or excessive advertising for users.

Categories of Data Processed

In-app advertising uses device identifiers, cookies, or comparable technologies (“identifiers”).
The following usage data may be collected and shared with us:

  • Current IP address of the device
  • Date and time of app access
  • Region or location where the app is used
  • Unique device identifiers and IDs (e.g., advertising ID)
  • Technical data about the device and operating system
  • General information about user groups (age, gender, interests)
  • Installed apps, if applicable
  • Encrypted identifiers, if applicable

All this data is stored using pseudonyms only.

How Advertising is Deployed

When an app is opened:

  1. The app provider requests available ad space through an ad auction platform.
  2. If the ad space and app match a customer campaign, and the user fits the target group, the ad is displayed.
  3. The IP address and unique identifiers are used to display the ad.

If the user clicks the ad (e.g., leading to an app store), this interaction is recorded.
If the advertised app is later downloaded or opened, the Company is notified — without knowing the user’s identity.

Data Usage

We use interaction and installation data to:

  • Bill customers for campaigns
  • Verify billing accuracy
  • Create statistical reports
  • Measure ad reach and effectiveness
  • Troubleshoot and improve services

The IP address also helps ensure ads are displayed only in the relevant regions or languages.

4. Data Recipients

We disclose data to third parties only when:

  • Necessary for ad deployment or campaign execution, or
  • Another legal basis allows disclosure.

The collection, storage, and disclosure of data by app providers are under their responsibility.

Third-Party Access

  • Data is exchanged between us and ad auction platforms.
  • When ad space is purchased, we transmit the ad and indicate which users should see it (using pseudonymous identifiers).
  • External service providers are contractually bound to data protection requirements.
  • For processing outside the EU, appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) or explicit user consent are used.

We never share names, email addresses, or direct contact data — only pseudonymous identifiers.

All communications are encrypted across designated data centers.

5. Retention Period

When an ad is displayed or interacted with:

  • We store information about successful deployments and installations to monitor and verify campaign billing.
  • Data is retained only as long as needed for these purposes.
  • Once no longer required, data is erased or anonymized.

6. Legal Bases

Data processing serves to implement and measure targeted in-app advertising campaigns for our customers.
Processing is done as part of customer orders.

If data is processed for billing, fraud prevention, or service optimization, this is based on our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Users’ interests are protected by pseudonymous processing and the opt-out option described below.

7. Your Rights

Users have the following rights regarding their personal data:

  • Access – Request information about your data processing.
  • Correction – Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Deletion – Request erasure of data, unless legal obligations prevent it.
  • Restriction – Request restriction of processing in certain cases.
  • Data Portability – Request a copy of your data in a common format.
  • Objection – Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including for advertising purposes.

Since we process data on behalf of app providers, users should contact the respective app provider directly, who processes their data per their own privacy policies.
